Carol Peat
Carol Peat has worked with children for all of her life. As an undergraduate in University she was employed as an Early Childhood Educator and Community Coach. As a volunteer with Scatcherd's Children Centre she worked with children with multiple disabilities and gained a love for childhood psychology and development. After completing her Honours English Language and Literature Degree, she started in the pursuit of a Master's. From there she continued her studies in prenatal and perinatal psychology. She currently is the co-owner of Babies Naturally in London Ontario and although she is active in labour and lactation support, her heart lies in the wholeness of babies and their experience. She has created The Calm Mum program, Parenting On The Same Page and What Our Newborns Are Telling Us Classes in order to educate parents about the consciousness of their infants and how to best support their children as they grow...which is by working on their own issues and understanding how they have come to their own awareness.
Carol's practice is primarily focused on helping babies return to their wholeness by teaching their parents to value, cherish and acknowledge their child's experience. Helping families process and heal from traumatic birth and loss and healing the parent child relationship is a large part of the continuing education offered by Carol.
Carol will provide the following talks at the 2013 Conference:
Understanding Baby's Wholeness
